BMW aero kit side skirts
Alpina greatly improved the exterior styling and aerodynamics of the Z4 by adding a front spoiler lip with raised Alpina logo and a rear spoiler that improves down force at higher speeds. The Alpina changes give the front a flatter and more aggressive look. The styling of the Roadster S Supercharged was further enhanced by fitting the side skirts from the BMW aero package. The BMW aero side skirts are by far the best option on the market and have been hugely popular with the Z4M crowd. Quite frankly, the Z4 bodywork upgrades from the aftermarket tuners are not of a very high standard and won't please anyone having a fine taste in aesthetics.
The aero side skirts make the car look wider and emphasize the distinctive concave shape of the door panels. The effect is best visible from an up front view of the car. The side skirts work best in conjunction with spacers on the rear axle to create a wider stance. On a Z4 with skinny tyres and the standard track width the side skirts will only emphasize the narrow stance.
